Project overview.

Sevengrams is a brand identity and packaging project created for a Milan-based coffee company founded by the Mauro sisters, whose family history was already connected to Italian coffee production.

I worked on the project together with Paolo Cazzani. The goal was to create a complete visual identity for a new coffee brand, with a distinctive mark, a coherent image system and packaging materials able to support the launch across products, sales tools and branded touchpoints.

The project has a specific value in my portfolio because, more than twenty years later, the original mark still represents Sevengrams.

Activities

The work covered the main elements of the brand system: logo design, coordinated image, packaging graphics and product communication.

Together with Paolo, I also worked on the naming of the three coffee blends and on the packaging system for the pod line, including the single pod wrappers and the product boxes.

The identity then extended to additional branded materials and product categories, including merchandising items and packaging for small confectionery products distributed by the company.

I also worked on the visual design of the first Sevengrams e-commerce experience, created when the company initially focused on online sales.

Results

The strongest result of the project is its continuity. Sevengrams has changed, expanded and evolved over time, but the original brand identity still plays a central role in its visual presence.

For this reason, the project remains relevant today: it shows how a solid identity system can support a company beyond the initial launch phase and remain part of its growth for years.
